Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CCBT)

We support individuals who have mild to moderate stress, anxiety or depression through a computerised cognitive behavioural therapy (CCBT) program.

Working from GP surgeries in Warrington and Wigan, as well as our head office, our team assess patients and typically offer them six sessions of CCBT, with scope for additional sessions if required. The majority of patients are seen at step 2 but we also provide CCBT sessions for some patients on the step 3 waiting list.

All the team are proficient users of the IAPT database, recording all patient information.

The programme is designed to educate patients about anxiety and depression by working on their thinking styles, their behaviours and their sleep routine, and by helping them complete thought-challenging tasks. Each patient has a weekly session with homework and is given an action plan before discharge, which includes advice on relapse prevention. All our CCBT coordinators are trained in the use of GP patient record systems to record IAPT KPIs.
