Involvement Conference 2014

Our 2014 involvement conference was about working in the spirit of partnership. Organised by our involvement team and chaired by James Malone, our central volunteer coordinator, the entire day was centred around bringing people together and working collaboratively to improve involvement and enhance services across Making Space.

This year, for the first time, our conference brought together service users, carers, volunteers, employees, trustees and members for a truly united approach to involvement.

Throughout the day we heard some fantastic insights from inspirational and engaging speakers including Paralympian, Adrian Derbyshire, and representatives from Ketso who got us thinking about how we can work together to increase involvement. We also came away from the day with a wealth of brilliant ideas on how to enhance volunteering, challenge stigma and much more.

A massive thank you to everyone who attended the involvement conference. You made it a resounding success. If you couldn’t make it this time, we hope to see you next time.
