Doncaster Admiral Service is shortlisted for Skills for Care Accolades
Our Doncaster Admiral Service is 1of 3finalists in the annual Skills for Care Accolades, which award adult social care employers committed to providing the highest quality care.
The team provides specialist dementia care nurses, at-home support, practical help and advice for issues faced by people with dementia, and respite support for carers.
Rachel Peacock says: “Because funding was diverted from existing services, we were able to pool resources to provide best-practice care and support to people living with dementia and their carers without the need for extra funding.
"The Making Space Doncaster Admiral service is a shining example of what can be achieved when people and organisations work together to achieve the best outcome for the people they serve. Whether it’s dementia or any other condition that requires support, the best approach is often a combined one. Sharing resources and best practice is the most effective way for people to learn and progress – for those living with dementia, their carers and the people who make it their life’s work to support them.
“Being recognised for our work in this area is a huge honour, and as well as thanking all our colleagues for their tireless dedication, we congratulate our fellow finalists for working so hard towards this common goal.”
