Make a difference, become a Trustee

We are currently planning for unprecedented growth and significant change, and are seeking to recruit to our Board to help us deliver our ambitious corporate objectives.

As a Trustee, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to provide the robust and vibrant governance that is needed to ensure we remain focused on our strategic objectives, operate effectively and efficiently, and achieve our ambitions to grow.

We would welcome applications from people with recent experience in senior
management roles within the health and social care sector. A record of successful achievement of working at a strategic level, with the ability to interact effectively with the Board and Chief Executive, challenge constructively, and influence a wide range of stakeholders are all must have qualities.

Applications are especially welcome from people with experience in HR, Business Development, particularly investing reserves, and Hospital
Management. Prior experience as a Trustee would be desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will join a skilled group that, in collaboration with our Executive Management Team and employees, provides leadership to our charity. We anticipate that the role will require up to 20 days of your time per annum.

As a Trustee you will also be regarded as a Hospital Manager for any service users within our Independent Hospitals who are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983. We will provide guidance and training in accordance with the MHA 1983 and associated Code of Practice. More information on the duties of a Hospital Manager will be included in the information pack.

The role of a Trustee is not remunerated, however expenses will be reimbursed.
