We're celebrating our 35th anniversary!
To celebrate turning 35, we are hosting a celebratory event for our employees and service users!
The event will take place on Friday 2 June at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, an impressive venue in Warrington, the town where we were first established 35 years ago.
The event will be split into 2 parts, with the day for our service users, volunteers and support staff and the evening for our employees and is set to be a remarkable day and night.
Service User Conference
We want to celebrate the differences, but more importantly, the similarities between our service users, bringing everyone from Making Space together for an unforgettable day.
There will be something for everyone, from creative workshops to inspirational talks and much more. Joining us will be Beverley Callard, known to millions as Coronation Street’s Liz McDonald, to talk to us about her own experiences with mental health and Jake Mills from Chasing the Stigma to steer us through the event.
Finishing off the day will be our service user and volunteer awards, celebrating the amazing achievements of those who use our services.
Employee Awards Ceremony
The glittering awards ceremony will be hosted by Bill Turnbull and will celebrate just how far we have come as an organisation over the past 35 years and more importantly, the exceptional work that our employees do everyday.
The evening will start with a champagne reception followed by a 3 course meal and awards presentation.
These awards play tribute to our employees and are our way of saying a huge thank you for everything that they do. Their hard work and dedication to caring makes a real difference to the lives of the people we support and without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
A message from our Acting CEO
"I am immensely proud to announce that this year Making Space celebrates its 35th anniversary.
"We estimate that during this time we have helped over 200,000 adults with care and support needs, an incredible achievement that we couldn’t have done without our employees, volunteers and your support. We hope you are as excited for our future as we are." - Rachel Peacock.
