What is an Admiral Nurse?
Admiral Nurses are specialist dementia nurses who give much-needed practical and emotional support to family carers, as well as the person with dementia. Our Admiral Nurses can support you and your family throughout your experience of dementia, tailoring our support to your individual needs and challenges. We will give you the knowledge you need to understand the condition and its effects, the skills and tools to improve communication, and provide emotional and psychological support to help family carers carry on caring for their family member.
What is a Dementia Advisor?
Dementia Advisors provide non clinical advice, information and psychosocial support to people living with dementia, and their carers, family members and friends. Our Dementia Advisors can help you to access support groups in the community, meet other people with similar circumstances to your own, signpost other services that may be able to give you the support you need and much more.
