Greengate House

Greengate House is a two storey purpose built residential home situated in a quiet residential area of St Helens in Merseyside, close to all amenities and public transport links.

Environment

The building is made up of three self contained units each having four bedrooms; we also have a spacious central lounge and dining area.

Each unit has its own lounge area, which offers a comfortable and personal space to encourage relaxation. Bedrooms are personalised to the taste of each individual resident and all residents are issued with keys to their own room.

Greengate House is furnished and decorated to a very high standard. We also have a large outdoor living space, with landscaped gardens, patios and barbeque area.

Service

We provide 24 hour support for 13 people with varying mental health Needs. This includes a rehabilitation programme for people who wish to return to independent living. Our service supports its residents to improve skills, develop inclusion into the community and enable them to live a quality independent life.

We can offer a re-enablement service for people who need to increase skills and support existing skills to enable them to move back to their own accommodation.

Greengate House offers a full range of health care provision, including:

  • Local G.P. practice
  • Consultant Psychiatrist
  • Optician (who has surgeries at Greengate House)
  • Dentist
  • Chiropody
  • Dietician.

We network with local support and intervention services, such as Social Inclusion, counselling, and Advocacy services. Greengate House offers a comprehensive programme of activities including; holidays, travel opportunities, visits to restaurants, shopping, theatre, cinema, bingo etc. We also have in-house activities including; keep fit sessions and other Wii games console activities, Karaoke, a computer with internet access, various craft and cooking sessions.

Greengate House has a dedicated, highly trained staff team, which includes a STaR and Rehabilitation worker. Each resident is provided with a full care support plan package tailored to their own individual needs. Within this care package each individual is assigned a key worker who will oversee the care plan alongside the recovery star programme.  All residents are encouraged and supported with involvement in all areas of not only their life but also the service we provide.
