Making Space Mental Health Services

Today, almost one in four people experience a mental health condition at some point in their lives. It is at these times when it is important to have the help and support of people who understand the positive steps that can be taken to aid recovery.

At Making Space we believe that with the right care and support, people living with mental health conditions can lead active, independent lives and play an active part in their local community.

Our mental health services provide person-centred support for people living with a range of mental health conditions, whether mild to moderate, complex, challenging or long-term. We will get to know each individual and will take the time to understand their goals and personal circumstances. Working together, and where appropriate with family and carers, we will use innovative tools and treatments to develop a package of care and support that is tailored to individual's needs and choices.

We provide a variety of community-based support that is outcome focused, including: early intervention and prevention, health and wellbeing, befriending and rehabilitation services.

Our employment develeopment services support individuals to a build their confidence, access training or further education and ultimately gain employment.

We host regular workshops where people can learn more about living with mental health conditions and enjoy the support of others facing similar challenges.

Making Space supported housing services, including floating support, extra care, and supported accommodation and living projects offer support ranging from low-level to intensive, 24/7 support. Our teams can provide help with managing tenancies, budgeting, personal care, learning life skills and much more.

We also have two independent hospitals, Ashwood Court and Monet Lodge, which provide care, treatment and support for older people with organic brain syndromes and associated challenging care needs.
