Mark Storey is a Regional Head of Operations and is responsible for CQC regulated services in the Greater Manchester, Lancashire and North East areas of England.
Mark started his care carer working with adults with mental health difficulties, learning disabilities and other support needs for other charitable originations.
Throughout his career Mark has worked in a number of management role and including the management of successful CQC registered services which includes, rehabilitation services, learning disability services and mental health services. Mark has a foundation degree in Leadership in Health and Social care and a vast array of qualification and training experience in all areas of his field.
Mark joined Making Space in 2020 as a Registered Manager at our Limes Place and Bright Street services, he was promoted to a Regional Head of Operations in 2022.
When asked what he thinks is unique about Making Space he said: “Each and every person is treated as equally and are equality given the same opportunities to achieve their full potential be that staff or the people we support.”
As part of his role of Regional Head of Operations he overall responsibility for all areas of operational and quality management and the growth and development of the services he oversees.
Mark has extensive knowledge of the mental health act and has real drive in ensuring people’s liberties are maintained and less restricted practices are in place. He has a real passion for quality and assurance and is always looking for new ways to improves services and our procedures within the organisation.
In his spare time Mark likes to spend time engaging in mindfulness meditation, playing tennis, walking in the countryside with his two dogs and three children and going to the gym. He also enjoys spending time gardening.
