After providing for your loved ones, leaving a gift in your Will to Making Space will help to secure the future for people living with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, dementia, carers and people facing the challenges with getting older.
If you could leave a gift to us in your Will, you will make a lasting difference to the people we support. Your kind gift could help us reach more people or help us to do more for those we support already with new provision or activities.
Your act of kindness will make a lasting difference to the people we support in so many ways. Significantly, you can choose to leave a gift to:
- A particular Making Space service that may be close to your heart
- A segment of our support services that you are passionate about, such as mental health, dementia or carers
- Making Space, as a whole. We will use your unrestricted gift to support those within our services who need it most.
A free online Will
We have teamed up with Octopus Legacy to provide our supporters with the chance to make a solicitor-checked Will online for free. Every supporter’s Will is checked by a qualified solicitor and you can call their helpline if you have any questions.
Octopus Legacy will share, when your Will was made and how much has been pledged in any legacy gift with our Fundraising team. However, we’d love it if you could please choose to share your name and details with the Fundraising team too so we can get in touch to say “thank you” and keep you up to date with what we’re up.*

We have partnered with Octopus Legacy to provide our supporters with the chance to make a solicitor-checked Will online for free
We are a registered member of ‘Remember A Charity’. You can visit the Remember A Charity website to find a solicitor in your local area who will be able to advise you on leaving a gift to charity when making a Will.
If you already have a Will
If you would like to leave a gift in your Will to Making Space and have already made a Will then you can update your existing Will.
If you already have a solicitor, speak to them and ask them to update your Will to include a gift to us. They will take you through the necessary steps to do this.
If you have an online Will with an online Will provider contact them to find out next steps for updating your Will to include a gift to Making Space.
