We understand that when you make a donation to Making Space, you want to know your money is going towards our charitable efforts and that we are committed to being responsible for the way the we fundraise.

Our promises to you

  • We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator, they uphold the highest standard of fundraising practices and we are committed to following the Institute of Fundraising’s Codes of Fundraising Practice
  • We are committed to the highest standard
  • We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and adhere to fair fundraising Code of Practice
  • We follow law regarding data protection, health and safety and safeguarding
  • We will monitor those who volunteer and fundraise for us to make sure they follow the Code of Practice

We are honest and open

  • We promise to always be clear on how we spend your donation
  • We will answer all reasonable questions to do with fundraising and donations
  • We will tell the truth and not exaggerate We will be clear with our fundraising costs and why we spend that money

We are respectful

  • We will respect your privacy and adhere to GDPR law
  • We will never share your data with any third party
  • We will remove your data upon request immediately
  • Upon request we are able to deal with vulnerable people in a professional way and we will be especially careful when dealing with the elderly and those effected by dementia, learning disabilities or mental health issues
  • If you don’t wish to donate to us again, that is no problem and we will never put pressure on you to donate

We are accountable

  • If you are unhappy with the way you have been dealt with regarding fundraising, you will be able to make a complaint on request
  • We will handle your data responsibly and according to legislation and law
  • We will take on your thoughts and feelings and review our practices where necessary
