National Care Home Open Day

June 2019

All Making Space residential homes are taking part in National Care Home Open day on Friday 28th June 2019.

Rivacre House

The event encourages homes to open their doors and celebrate a different theme each year, with a few key values at its heart: friendship, making connections and celebrating older and vulnerable people. This year’s theme is celebrating the role of Arts in Care.

A big part of National Care Home Open Day is about bringing the community through our doors, providing the perfect opportunity for us to showcase Making Space and the work we do throughout the year, as well as challenge some of the long-standing misconceptions that are often associated with care homes.

We are welcoming the local community, family and friends to pop into our homes in your local community, to join in with our activities, the more visitors, the merrier!

Each home has a different theme, from a BBQ Bonanza to a Hawaiian party, each party has something for all ages including; music and entertainment, arts and crafts, tombola, garden games and a bouncy castle.
