The WG Edwards Charitable Foundation have awarded the day services a grant of £1,450, the funds will be used to pay for activities such as virtual exercise classes and arts and crafts sets for the people we support in Doncaster.

Sandalwood Centre and Moat Hills Centre support people to continue living independently in their own homes by offering a safe and welcoming environment, whether they need an extra bit of support or are living with dementia.

The service offers a range of creative therapeutic activities to help people with their physical health, mental health and wellbeing, pre-planned person-centred respite for carers, the opportunity to learn and develop new skills and much more.

The grant will allow the team to pay professionals to deliver exercise classes and provide arts and crafts activities that are specifically catered to the people we support.

Service Manager, Janet Griffiths, said, “It’s vital that we keep providing online activities for the people we support. This grant will make such a difference as we can keep supporting them and their families while they are at home.”

Thank you to the WG Edwards Charitable Foundation for their valuable support.
