Represent Making Space at the 2021 Virtual Virgin Money London Marathon

On Sunday 3 October 2021, 50,000 runners will have the chance to be a part of the biggest marathon ever staged anywhere in the world.

The virtual Virgin Money London Marathon will return this year, giving participants the opportunity to take on the world's greatest marathon on the course of their choosing, at any time of the day, wherever they are on the planet. You just need to start and finish the marathon on Sunday 3 October.

Making Space is looking for three runners to take part in this virtual event. We are looking for people who not only love to run, but also who love raising money for a great cause! Bob Towers, our Fundraising Manager, said "This is a great opportunity for our charity to raise the profile of our work with vulnerable people. Our services have been working hard to keep people safe and supported during the pandemic and now we have been allocated three places in this marathon. We are looking for three marathon runners who can attract sponsorship from a wide group of work colleagues, family and friends.

All money raised will go towards providing additional support for the people we are supporting, including activities for people with mental health conditions, for people living with dementia and for breaks for carers".

The Virgin Money London Marathon was also held virtually last year, and the 37,966 runners who finished were even awarded an official Guiness World Record for "Most users to run a remote marathon in 24 hours".
