About Devonshire Road
Devonshire Road is supported housing services were people have their own tenancy to have their own independence but also there is a support worker on site for people to get the support they need. This includes support with managing their flat, promoting good health and wellbeing and supporting individuals with achieving their goals/aspirations.
Why should you volunteer?
This is a great opportunity to gain experience and to be part of a friendly team. You will have the chance to learn from other people and to bring some of your hobbies/interests to your volunteering when appropriate.
What will you be doing?

To volunteer once a week at a time that is convenient for you.

To liaise with staff about doing activities with a small group of people or one to one.

To be aware of the organization’s Health and Safety Policy and act responsibly.

To report any concerns to support workers and/or service manager.
What skills and experience will you need?
You don’t need any qualification but some awareness of mental health diagnosis is useful. The role would be a good experience for volunteers who wish to gain experience in a health and social care setting. We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, patient, proactive, adaptable and have a positive outlook.
