About the position
The Corporate Volunteer will support Making Space in developing a set of feasibility studies to assess the viability of establishing a High Street charity shop and online shops to sell second-hand books and arts and crafts made by our charity's service users. The volunteer will work closely with the Making Space staff and stakeholders to collect and analyse data, identify opportunities, and make recommendations on the best approach for the charity.
What will you be doing?
- Conduct research to gather information on the local market, consumer behavior, and competition.
- Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for Making Space’s retail initiatives.
- Assist in the development of feasibility studies for the High Street charity shop and online shops.
- Provide recommendations on the most appropriate location and design for the charity shop, and the best platform for the online shop.
- Work closely with the charity's staff and service users to understand their interests and skills to inform the selection of products for sale.
- Develop a marketing strategy to promote the charity's retail initiatives and increase sales.
- Provide regular progress reports to the charity's staff and stakeholders..

- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify creative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
