As a volunteer you will be able to spend more time with residents doing leisure/recreational activities having fun. You will also have the chance to gain experience, meet people and be part of a friendly team were you will have the chance to learn from other people.
What will you be doing?
- To liaise with staff about supporting residents with their interests and activities which will help with their recovery and to build confidence.
- To support a small group of residents or one to one support with getting involved in activities at the service and/or going out locally.
- To provide a listening ear and to build a good rapport with residents.
- To be aware of the organization’s Health and Safety Policy and act responsibly.
