Café Connect shines on Good Morning Britain!
We’re thrilled to share that our Café Connect, part of the Connect Hub (Warrington Day Service), was featured on Good Morning Britain today, 10 December. The feature was part of the inspiring ‘1 Million Minutes’ campaign, an initiative that encourages viewers to volunteer and pledge their time to help tackle loneliness.
During the segment, viewers were introduced to Ellen, a dedicated volunteer who generously gives her time to make a difference in her community. Ellen shared her experience volunteering for the Chatty Café scheme, which Making Space proudly supports.
What is Chatty Café?
The Chatty Café initiative is all about bringing people together. At Café Connect, Chatter & Natter tables provide a welcoming space where anyone can sit down, have a chat, and connect with others.
Ellen says: “We talk about all sorts at the tables - nothing is off-limits! I love meeting people and making a difference to those who feel isolated. If you’re thinking about volunteering, go for it, you won’t look back!”
These sessions are held every Wednesday at Café Connect:
- Morning session: 10am – 12midday
- Afternoon session: 1pm – 3pm
You can visit Café Connect at our Head Office, 44 Allen Street, Warrington, WA2 7JB, just a stone’s throw from Warrington town centre, it is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm, Sunday lunchtimes (booking required), and with extended hours until 8pm on Thursdays.
