Making Space at Christmas

This year has been no exception with us going bigger and better than ever.

In a bid to win a festive hamper, services have taken part in Christmas Bingo, ticking of joyful and celebratory activities in the run up to Christmas, including wearing Christmas jumpers, completing acts of kindness and singing Christmas carols.

At our head office based in Warrington, staff have decked the halls with boughs of holly, tinsel, fairy lights and anything else festive that they could lay their hands on, fighting for the title of best dressed office in the annual Christmas decorating competition that takes place between departments.

While the marketing and fundraising team have built a custom Santa sleigh with flying reindeer and the HR team have turned their office into a gallery of the 12 days of Christmas, the finance team have turned their office into a New York City skyline and with attractions.

Rachel Peacock, CEO said “All of these festive activities are a wonderful way to bring our teams, people we support together and our communities together this Christmas.

“We absolutely understand that Christmas can be a difficult time for some and we have measures in place to ensure all feel comfortable and have the right level of support during this time of year. We find that running these activities throughout December really do lift people’s spirits and give us the chance to connect with each other at what can be a very busy time, and to those who might be struggling this Christmas it is a chance to feel a part of something.”

There has also been a number of Christmas fayres held in our local communities as well as opening our doors to people who might be lonely this Christmas.

The Warrington Day Service, based on Allen Street in Warrington,is hosting their Christmas fayre on Friday 20 December 12pm – 4pm and all are welcome to join.
