Trevor's Tails episodes 1 and 2

May 2020

Meet Kingshill Residential Home's newest family member, Trevor!

Trevor is an 8 week old Labrador from a responsible breeder. Seeing the positive impact animals have, Colette O'Neil, Residential Home Manager, decided it would be great for the service to have their own dog.

The people we support will be able to interact with him daily, which is proven to improve mental health. Interacting with dogs can increase levels of the stress-reducing hormone oxytocin and decrease cortisol, the hormone which causes stress.

Our hope is that he'll be therapeutic for everyone by improving wellbeing, motivation, mood and reducing loneliness and depression.

The people we support are really excited and are already talking about who is taking him out first. Trevor will be visiting the service soon and will be well looked after by all of our residents.

See below for the first two episodes of Trevor's adventures, Trevor's Tails.
