Services enjoy morale-boosting dancing
We have put together our own music video that showcases all the extraordinary ways our staff are going above and beyond for the people we support, during this pandemic.
The Coronavirus outbreak is having a significant impact upon the Heath & Social Care Sector and it is likely to continue for the next few months. Keeping positive and managing staff wellbeing as well as the people using our services is vital to us.
To keep spirits high and to overcome the challenges many services are facing during the Government lockdown regulations, staff have continued to roll out a schedule of activities across their services for the people they support to enjoy. Activities have included mindfulness sessions, virtual zoo visits, plenty of games and of course a little air guitar fun.
Services have taken part in recording videos to be included in the Queen ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ music video. This was a song voted for by staff, volunteers and service users across a number of social media polls.
Rachel Peacock, CEO, said, “At the moment, there may be feelings of stress, fear and grief but there is also courage, love and a hell of a lot of inspiration. Our staff have the compassion and dedication to pull together and get through these challenging times.
“These are tough times, but we are doing everything we can to not only support the people that use our services but to keep staff morale positive and support our colleagues on the front line.
“Amongst these inspirational moments that have been captured in the video, you’ll also find moments of silliness. We hope our video both warms your heart and makes you laugh.”
This is a challenging and unpredictable time for everyone, but keyworkers are continuing to work, even with smiles on their faces. Making Space would like to continue that smile.
