We're exhibiting at Warrington Disability Awareness Day

October 2020

Warrington Day Service and The Academy will be virtually exhibiting at Warrington Disability Awareness Day (DAD).

Now in its 29 year, the event has been developed into an online virtual event that will be fully interactive and based on the DAD we know and love. Two of our Warrington based services will be exhibiting at the event on Sunday 25 October to provide information, advice and guidance to visitors.

This online event will be fully interactive, visitors to the live show can expect to find around 260 exhibitors, equipment suppliers, transport, holidays, leisure, employment, support groups and services.

Warrington Day Service provides person-centred support to people living with a range of mental health conditions, whether mild to moderate, complex, challenging or long-term. Service manager, Claire Jones, will also be on hand to provide information on our brand new supporting living accommodation, The Academy. The Academy provides 22 brand new supported living apartments for rent in the historic Academy building on Bridge Street, Warrington.

Service Manager, Claire, said: “We are delighted to be supporting DAD this year. Our stand will include an array of useful information, videos and literature and we will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about our Warrington based services.

“We are excited to come together with the very best support services that Warrington and the surrounding area has to offer.”

Held annually, Disability Awareness Day (DAD) is the world's largest 'not for profit' voluntary-led disability exhibition. It’s a pan disability event which promotes a can do culture focusing on what disabled people can do throughout life and work.

As well as fulfilling three aims; guidance, independence and showcase, every year the show also gives all visitors a day filled with interest, fun and entertainment!

The event will allow people from across the UK who would have previously not been able to attend the event to get involved.
