Celebrating our co-production award finalists!
To celebrate Co-production Week taking place this week, our co-production and fundraising teams have clubbed together to reward each of our three Co-production finalists at our Colleague Awards with a £100 gift card to use on one or more co-production projects.
The three services were finalists for the Co-Production award, they were nominated for the award for placing the people they support into the centre of their care and support, working alongside them, their carers and professionals in equal partnership towards a shared goal.
The winner was announced at our Making Space Colleague Awards event at The Hilton Hotel in Liverpool on 28 June.
The gift card will offer our colleagues and the people we support a great chance to get together and do something exciting to continue improving their service in positive ways. Services will update us on their progress, achievements and positive impact.
Here’s more information about the services who have been award and the work they do:
The Kingshill Team
Staff and residents at Kingshill embody the true spirit of co-production, and their attention to detail is of the highest standard. Their Making It Real action plan comes loaded with all they have achieved by working together, demonstrating how people's input leads to positive change. Residents play a full part in monthly meetings and residents are actively involved in assisting with recruiting new employees. Kingshill has demonstrated this practice consistently over the last few years.
The Derby City Dementia Team
The Derby City Dementia service live and breathe Co-production at their service. They host more than 15 groups each month across the city that offer unrivalled opportunities for people to shape the service. They take all ideas and suggestions and lead on them wherever possible. Across the service, people share their time and expertise together to selflessly help others.
Ashwood Court
Ashwood Court is bursting full of opportunities for residents to own their activities programme. Together with staff they have hosted food and healthy eating workshops, coffee mornings, social nights, barbecues, trips out (such as boat trips, seaside, garden centres), worked to brighten up their garden space, and developed a new service newsletter, which shouts about their progress and features many poems courtesy of a talented resident poet.
