Kim Smith named as Frontline Leader Award winner!
Regional head of operations Kim Smith was named Frontline Leader award. She was presented with her award at a ceremony held at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool, with a keynote speech by motivational speaker and leadership expert Gavin Ingham.
The audience heard judges describe how Kim’s constructive approach helped her team to navigate change and find solutions.
Kim said: "I was really overwhelmed to win the award, it is not about the recognition for me it is more about the excellent services we provide and my role supporting and leading our wonderful teams to deliver our services to the people we support."
Emily Blackburn, operations coordinator at Paragon Skills, and our Chief People Officer Phil Orton judged the Frontline Leader award.
“Kim’s dedication to Making Space and the people who use our services shines through everything she does,” said the charity’s chief operating officer Nick Farmer. “She coaches service managers and their teams to do better for the people we support and is the go-to expert on care and housing.”
The awards recognise and pay tribute to individuals and teams who inspire others, go above and beyond expectations and make a real difference to the lives of the people we support.
Kim was among over 150 people who were nominated for the awards, which were sponsored by telecommunications provider Focus Group.
