Volunteers' Week 2022, a Time to say Thanks

June 2022 · 2 min read

Volunteers’ week took place between 1 and 7 June 2022, this year the theme was a Time to Say Thanks.

Throughout Volunteers' week, Toni Pike, who is our Co-Production and Volunteer Co-ordinator, had a look at the volunteers that we have throughout our charity. We have some amazing cooks, musicians, fundraisers and gardeners!

Here are just a few of the teams that help to make a difference:

Our Warrington Day Service volunteers run sessions daily, such as arts and crafts, music and walking. They even cook a Sunday lunch and hold a group to socialise, and meet new friends.

The team in Rotherham run Dementia Cafe's to give carers information and advice regarding memory problems and support, and to meet other carers.

We have a group that meet every 8 weeks to work on Co-production projects. This group is a great way of receiving feedback about the people that we support, and what they feel will help them.

These groups are essential and couldn't run without our amazing volunteers!

Volunteers Week 2022

Volunteering with us is a great way to learn new skills, make friends and be part of a fantastic team that really make a difference to people’s lives.

We are thankful for our volunteers every day for giving their time to support others, but it’s nice to have a week to celebrate all that they do for us and to say thank you once again!
