Keep it safe and legal

Make sure to label allergens clearly if you’re selling food and also keep your preparation sanitary with the use of gloves and no animals or children allowed in the kitchen. Please have food cooked, prepared and stored correctly. Visit food.gov.uk for more information.

If you are collecting donations, keep them locked and safely hidden in a safe-box. Make sure you aren’t carrying a large amount of cash if you’re travelling far and always have someone with you if possible.

Do you need a certified first aider at your event? Or do you only need a first aid box? It is always better to be safe than sorry and you should bring sufficient amounts of first aid materials depending on the size of your event.

If your fundraiser is part of a larger event, make sure you liaise with the correct people and find out about fire evacuation points, what to do in an emergency and what the facilities will be for your guests.
