Barclays Bank trio take on skydive
Chelsie Towers, Jackie Bennett and Louis Greenwood all work for Barclays Bank in Cheshire. They decided to take on a 10,000 foot skydive for Making Space.
Despite a number of postponements, due to the weather, they eventually raised over £1500!
"The skydive was fantastic! Myself and Jackie went up first and hit a hail cloud, we got battered but it was all part of the fun. Louis went up half an hour later and got pure sunshine!"
The money the team raised went to local Cheshire Making Space services, including Cheshire West and Chester Mental Health Support service, a service Chelsie is keen to support after personal experience.
“I chose Making Space as I know how much they do to support those with mental health issues. I have suffered with depression and anxiety myself, and although I haven’t used Making Space services, I just wanted to choose a charity that was close to home as we have a support centre in Northwich."
Barclays Bank match funded the money their employees raised meaning the total to Making Space actually reached over £3000. If you’re considering taking on a challenge check if your employer can match the money you raise.
